The Doomsday Disasters: Consequences of Global warming.
People with various beliefs find it relaxing to believe in fate. So do I. In the same way a part of world population including me believe in doomsday. They believe that earth will also get destroyed one day. As a muslim I was thinking and trying to recollect what my religion states about it.By comparing my religious and scientific knowledge about earth I got in mind that maybe there would be a series of disasters constituting the Doomsday. Again as a man with belief,I conform with the divine scriptures of my religion. And l only know one divine scripture of my own religious belief. There I found some descriptions of doomsday.As I am currently studying in Disaster management related studies therefore in the very deep of my brain I felt a connection with global warming and tried to compare the probabilities. Then the thought I got those are what I am going to jot down.
Starting from the hint of holy scriptures. At one hadith, it’s said that the birth of the last prophet(sm) is the first sign of doomsday. I took it at the starting point of the process of summoning the Doomsday . So, it’s been about 1550 years since the birthday of the last prophet. My mind says that from that very instant the process of global warming has started though I don’t have any factual proof right now but it’s possible. Then I figured out the process. The final configuration stands as , the global warming will lead to both ecological and physical imbalance in the earth ecosystem. It will increase the entropy of the earth. As in my thought onwards, I started to think the final culmination. Which made me think that this global warming will take us to very imbalanced circumstances. Then the line pop up in my mind from the holy scripture is, “when the earth will through out everything inside it.” This brought me to the stand that, for long term impact of global warming, the inner temperature of the earth will be rising much higher, resulting melting of the semi liquid semi solid inner crust of the earth and finally joining the core of the earth in liquid state. It is to remind that the earth is liquid at it’s center. From there on the constituents got gradually cooler and more solid in state with time. And the earth absorb heat faster and release heat faster. But due to green house effect the releasing rate may get slower and also may get hindered. So the action of cooling of the inner crust will be hindered and probably reversed by the long term impact of global warming. Then it will be very regular that the thinnest outer solid layer of earth crust will be penetrated by the liquid magma of the Centrosphere. This is identical to the description in the holy scripture. At this point the final scene from the movie pompeii appeared in my mind. Anyway, it’s also said in the holy scripture that “at that time the mountains will be floating in air like beaten cotton does.” My mind explained this event as due to excessive amount of volcanic eruptions the gravitational ballance will be distorted for earth and it will reach near to a state where there will be a state of gravitylessness and the earth might reach near to a black hole or two from opposite sides for which the mountains may get lifted upward and float like cottons. And that’s how the final hours of the earth will be as my mind presented the scenario conforming with probabilities and belief both.
Finally, I left with the thought that the final consequences of global warming is going to be the series of Doomsday Disasters. But to be very honest, if we don’t do anything about it right now then surely, global warming itself is going to be the Doomsday Disaster for mankind.
In the end I want to assure that there is no research I conducted for writing this piece and it implies only the thought I got at the very moment I intended to think of doomsday. This has nothing to do with any type of scientific involvement or religion.
